Stupid Yidiotic Festival... Yes.. that's what i call it. Make people spend so much time practising, yet judge by just a day, within 1 min, by some judges from some "ang moh" countries. Why must they hire people from other countries to judge us when they call it SINGAPORE's youth festival. It's supposed to be SINGAPORE's event! Hmmm.. Anyway, Yjc is being mocked by other schools just because of our results. Regardless of Academic or Activities. Especially during the SYF period, where we are the only JC to get BRONZE for choir ( and band too.. for everyone's info). No school was awarded Certificate of Participation, Yj was awarded bronze, the other JCs was awarded silver, gold and gold with HONOUR.
I admit, that we werent that good. But, we deserve at least a silver? Can anyone tell me will the judges deduct marks if we were late and changed from 2nd competition school to 5th school? Well, if it is, it will be the bus driver's fault!! Ms yap told him to go by expressway, as it is faster, yet the dumb dumb uncle told her that " you dont have to tell me how to go, i know how to go there". The school is paying that uncle to drive us there!! What right has he got to say this to Ms yap?! And he didn't even go by expressway, he went all the way to seletar, pass by my Bowen secondary school (hougang), go through serangoon central, turn and go through some industry park. HELLO UNCLE!! IT'S 8++ IN THE MORNING AND U ARE DRIVING US THROUGH THOSE INDUSTRY WORKPLACE TO JOIN IN THOSE TRAFFIC JAM?! DID U USE UR BRAIN?! The other bus that drove soprano ( high pitch ladies) have long ago reach Singapore Conference Hall by expressway when the bus that drove alto (normal pitch girls) and guys were stuck in serangoon. Can u believe it?! We set off much earlier than the sopranos' bus yet we reach much later than them!!
By the time we reached, the sopranos were already doing warming up, and we were changed from the 2nd school to 3rd school, but due to the reason that we were not prepared yet, we changed to the 4th school, and i dont know what happened, we were changed to the 5th school to sing. By our turn, HCJC, VJC.. etc, had already sung their pieces. They were the gold schools for YEARS, and we sang right after them, it's really a BIG "encouragement" for us.
Of course, right after the SYF, we busied ourselves by taking photos while waiting for the result. I've taken quite a lot of them. =) No one is bothered by the result anyway. Haha~ But we were quite mad when we learnt that the conductress actually ran home, trying to escape from all the shame, from the result where we knew will not be good, without even saying good byes. Isn't she supposed to stay behind and share the moment with us regardless of fame or shame?! Why did she want to run away? *disappointed*
Now that the SYF is over, i found myself lagging in my school work. I didnt even do a single tutorial for 2 weeks!! Time for me to catch up with my work. I mustnt slack!! Dragon babies are competitive batch. STRESS!!! =(
