Sometimes i think parents are funny.. They thought that since one country's currency is smaller than Sg, that means that the living expenses should be lower than Sg.

My ma asked me some days ago, about the exchange rate for Japanese Yen against S$. I told her about S$1 to 80Yen. At that time, i was sure that she was comparing it with China RMB against S$. S$1 to 5RMB. S$1 to 20taiwan dollar. So isn't S$1 to 80Yen much smaller?

I was too lazy to break her thoughts at that time. But to be honest, i think kids nowadays are indeed much more smarter than parents. Thanks to the compulsory education that we have, and the advance of technology which allows us to surf online to find out about the living expenses of other countries. Especially countries like Nippon.. 高いね！
